The country of Pennsylvania’s first FanDuel Sportsbook has formally opened at Valley Forge Casino Resort, according to a recent statement from the property’s owner-operator, Boyd Gaming Corporation (NYSE: BYD), and the bookmaker and everyday fantasy sports provider.
Timing is everything:
Located in King of Prussia, approximately 20 miles west of downtown Philadelphia, Valley Forge watched the official opening of this new 1,800 square foot sports betting retail location on March 13, 2019. Strategically opened only six days ahead of the beginning of the annual NCAA college basketball tournament, March Madness, the sportsbook is located on the left of the main entry to the match.

King, who served as Chief Financial Officer of FanDuel from 2014-2016, was named Chief Executive Officer in November 2017, after FanDuel announced that Nigel Eccles, co-founder and then, company head, could be stepping down from the Board of Directors and leaving the New York City-based firm.

New venue:
The location, which is open to the public 7 days a week, will be handled by FanDuel in partnership with Valley Forge Casino Resort and Boyd Gaming. And in addition to two sports tickers, attributes 27 TV displays, seven betting windows, seating for more than 30 customers and will accept wagers on all major U.S. sports including professional football (NFL), basketball (NBA), baseball (MLB) soccer (MLS), boxing, golf, motorsports and college basketball and football.
