In Canada, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) has Declared that it Had Been recently awarded with the Best Overall Responsible Gambling Program 2018 accolade by the World Lottery Association (WLA).

The summit bureau used a official Thursday press launch to detail the prize recognized the effects of its own Play Smart responsible gaming program and was bestowed as part of November’s biennial World Lottery Summit in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Double delight:
The OLG’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Stephen Rigby, explained that this marks the second time his Ontario firm has bagged the coveted WLA award after a first triumph in 2014. He also stated that the prize is handed out every two years into some level-four gaming operator that has always shown ‘excellence in responsible gambling’.

“OLG’s responsible gaming program is driven by a simple vision; to supply a more healthy and positive gaming experience for many players. We have a duty to our customers and employees as well as our small business and community partners to offer the very best programming that promotes positive play and mitigates harmful gambling.
Improvement commitment:
Toronto-based OLG declared it is currently the sole gambling and lottery organization to have won the WLA’s Finest Overall Responsible Gambling Program accolade on two different events with the most recent recognizing its ‘strategic approach to responsible gambling’ together with its dedication to constantly enhancing its Play Smart scheme, which comprises the implementation of ‘robust and advanced training programs for merchants and employees’.

Finally, Rigby proclaimed his organization’s Play Smart program uses ‘engaging multimedia content’ to assist players in a fun and enjoyable approach to better comprehend ‘key gaming concepts’ and the way games work so they can implement more effective budgetary controls.
