Boyd Gaming Corporation (NYSE: BYD) announced on Monday its purchase of Valley Forge Casino Resort at King of Prussia, Pennsylvania has been finalized, based on the organization ’s official press launch .
The gaming and hospitality business ’s first property at the Keystone State, Valley Forge is situated some 20 miles northwest of central Philadelphia.

We will proceed quickly with the addition of 250 slot machines into the land ’s casino floor, and also closely examine the opportunity to offer both online gambling and sports wagering through our partnership with FanDuel Group. We see attractive growth possible at Valley Forge, and are pleased to welcome the entire Valley Forge staff to Boyd Gaming. ”
Purchase announcement and approval:
The comapny’s plan to buy the Valley Forge Casino Resort from former proprietor, Valley Forge Convention Center Partners LP, which had operated the venue since March 2011, had been given the green light by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board in April this year. The 280.5 million buy was first declared in December 2017. The spring approval also contained a $1.35 million change in control fee.

Ahead renovations:
Prior to this December 2017 announcement, Boyd Gaming’s newest property failed countless dollars in renovations including improving on existing conveniences, modifications to its restaurant offerings and diversifying its night-life scene.
The Pennsylvania-based center is made up of 485 guest rooms and suites, a 24-hour gym and spa, 20,000 square foot area of pool, complete with sand, tiki bar and food and drink service, many restaurants and bars and 100,000 sq feet of meeting, convention and exhibition area. Its 40,000 sq feet casino offers 600 slots and 50 gaming tables including Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Pai Gow Poker and Baccarat.
