Caesars Entertainment Corporation is set to become the latest casino operator to expand its sportsbetting services in the United States after announcing that it intends to launch sportsbooks for its properties in New Jersey and Mississippi over the next few weeks.
Launches to begin in New Jersey:
Las Vegas-headquartered, Caesars Entertainment Corporation, used an official Monday press release (pdf) to detail that it will be bringing sportsbetting to its Bally’s Atlantic City Hotel and Casino property along with its Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City Hotel and Casino venue from tomorrow.
It stated that this is to be followed next month by the debut of similar services for its Horseshoe Tunica Hotel and Casino and Harrah’s Gulf Coast Biloxi Casino Hotel enterprises in Mississippi.
New services to utilize OpenBet innovation:
Caesars Entertainment Corporation declared that the new sportsbooks, which are to be fully integrated with its Total Rewards loyalty program, will utilize the OpenBet platform from the SG Digital subsidiary of American iGaming innovator, Scientific Games Corporation and provide punters with ‘intuitive and sleek solutions’ that enhance their ‘sportsbetting experience.’
New Jersey mobile sportsbetting facility on its way:
Moving forward, Caesars Entertainment Corporation explained that it intends to ‘build out’ the new sportsbooks so that they mirror the land-based services currently offered by its many venues in Nevada.
The casino giant proclaimed that the next nine months is to furthermore see it launch a mobile sportsbetting facility in New Jersey while expanding this resource’s online poker and casino offerings in addition to premiering an on-site counterpart for its Mississippi properties.
Further expansion possible:
Finally, Caesars Entertainment Corporation pronounced that it means to closely monitor the market and may bring mobile sportsbetting to its venues in other American states ‘when and if it becomes legal and economically attractive’ to do so.
PASPA repeal prompted move:
Mark Frissora, President and Chief Executive Officer for Caesars Entertainment Corporation, used the July 30 press release to detail that his firm’s sportsbetting move follows a May ruling from the United States Supreme Court that invalidated the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA).
He declared that this decision means that the casino operator can now offer customers ‘exciting new experiences’ while continuing to debut ‘new products through our mobile and digital platforms’ as well as inside it many properties.
Scientific Games Corporation ‘thrilled’ with deal:
