SafeCharge scores Danske Spil deal

Leading payments technology firm, SafeCharge (AIM: SCH), announced today that it has entered into a partnership with Denmark’s national lottery, Danske Spil A/S that will power “Youbet,” its regulated sports betting platform, that will serve as a catalyst for growth in the local regulated market there.

SafeCharge Cashier has been implemented by Danske Spil, the hosted payment solution that is optimized for maximum deposit and withdrawal conversion. Adding the Danish debit card, Dankort, and the benefit of a direct connection with MasterCard and Visa, SafeCharge is enabling the national lottery founded in 1948 to attain optimal success rates, according to the press release.

Via its pair of subsidiaries, Danske Licens Spil A/S and Danske Lotteri Spil A/S, the firm offers both lottery and gambling services and games such as Onsdags Lotto, Lotto, Joker, keno Eurojackpot, Bingo, Quick, Poker, Dantoto, Zezam, Oddset, Casino, and the newest betting brand, Youbet. Danske Spil A/S has chosen SafeCharge to target an expanding demographic of sports betting fans in Denmark via Youbet.
