Leading global B2B and white tag gambling software and services supplier, Nektan plc (AIM: NKTN), announced today it has entered into a partnership with Metric Gambling, an independent developer and supplier of live mobile sports betting software and support solutions, that will see it deliver the B2B sportsbook platform’s betting content to the U.S. marketplace.
Under the terms of the bargain, Metric Gambling LLC and Respin LLC (“Respin”-RRB-, the various U.S. operating subsidiaries of Metric and Nektan, will offer top excellent sports betting and horse racing services by means of Respin’s Rapid Games™ stage. The latter is reportedly the sole independently certified Class II (Safe Tribal Gambling Category) and Class III On-Premises Bring Your Own Device (“BYOD”-RRB- mobile platform, in the U.S. casino gambling market.
In March last year, Rapid Games announced its U.S. working subsidiary of Nektan PLC, Respin LLC, would be launching is Rapid Games in-venue mobile games solution into a major California casino with a by a Tier-1 US casino operator.
Commenting about the brand new deal through press launch, Interim Chief Executive Officer for Nektan, Gary Shaw, said that using that the May 14, 2018, Supreme Court ruling, the melding of Nektan’s Rapid Games Mobile Casino and Metric’s major sports and race products, creates a major chance for both businesses working as partners. “The sector will seem to a mixture of casino and sports and with a partner combining both will make additional opportunities for both businesses,” clarified Shaw.
For its own part, Metric Chief Executive Officer, Martin de Knijff, stated that the Supreme Court’s overturning of the skilled and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA), that prohibited states from authorizing sports gambling, “signals a sea change in the U.S.. Before this month, the Gibraltar-headquartered Nektan announced two key senior appointments in Michael Byrne, who had been hired to direct its ‘white-label’ enterprises and Jane Ryan, who had been promoted to Chief Operating Officer for the company’s business-to-business unit.
