Only four days after signing a content supply deal with developer, Habanero Systems BV, and online casino operator, Bethard Group, has now announced that it will be working with Swedish gambling addiction and responsibility expert, Magnus Rydeving.
Recruitment of ‘leading expert’:
According to an official press release published by boutique gaming event organizer European Gaming Media and Events, the Malta-based operator described Rydeving as ‘one of Sweden’s leading experts in gaming addiction and gaming responsibility’ who uses the domain at Spelnykter.se to educate players and their families about the issues associated with problem gambling.
The Denmark, Malta and United Kingdom-licensed firm explained that Rydeving has recently signed up to serve as an ‘external expert’ in order to help it become ‘a leading gaming company when it comes to gaming responsibility.’ As such, it declared that he is to have ‘full transparency’ when it comes to its systems and processes while continuing to fulfill his commitments to Spelnykter.se.
Operator is ‘incredibly happy’:
Erik Skarp, Chief Executive Officer for Bethard Group, proclaimed that he is ‘incredibly happy and proud’ to be able to utilize Rydeving’s knowledge in what he referred to as ‘a very important area.’
Skarp’s statement read…
“It was far from obvious that one of the gaming industry’s loudest critics would show such an open mind and agree to cooperate with us about the issue. However, now everything is in place and I look forward to, along with Magnus, making our vision to make Bethard Group one of the safest gaming alternatives on the market a reality.”
Move represents ‘a great opportunity’:
For his part, Rydeving admitted that he had initially been ‘very hesitant’ to assist Bethard Group in helping it to increase its responsible gaming practices. However, he stated that he soon changed his mind after realizing that the firm was ‘serious about becoming better and taking greater responsibility.’
Rydeving’s statement read…
“I see this as a great opportunity to change the system from the inside and to be a part of working towards responsible gaming in a regulated gaming market.”
