Experienced i-gaming director Richard Clarke, who’s worked for brands like Link2Win, Soho Gaming and VSoftCo, has joined former Carnaby earnings and supply CEO Sean O’Kelly in setting up a new i-gaming movie rights company titled Skyrocket Entertainment.
Unveiling the company in Cannes this week, the duo said they had been choosing movie rights for use on themed online gambling games like slot machines, a $46.7 billion industry.
“We’re getting iconic films new and old, migrating them into the online games and gambling business,” stated O’Kelly, who added there was a “enormous desire” to get film-branded games.
Clarke explained that the typical online slot machine delivers around $20,000-$30,000 per month to the rights owners, creating a Substantial revenue stream on a level with VOD and TV revenues
Deals with producers and library owners are being signed in Cannes, stated O’Kelly, together with Skyrocket planning to take up 100 games a year using its partners.
