Back in December, Playson released a new online slot game that has a unique form and function. Crystal Crush is the latest title by the developer, one that sees gameplay take place on a hexagonal grid. A winning combination is earned by creating clusters on the board, of five or more matching game symbols. Meters are also associated with the game, helping players to access six levels of bonuses, offering multipliers and wild transformations.
No Reel Format:
The new game is unique because it is considered a slot but does not have a traditional slot format, because there are no reels! There are 61 positions on the hexagon grid, with clusters paying out prize. Players can wager 0.25 to 100 coins per spin with no paylines in action. Instead, the game uses a cluster pay system. Players must earn five matching symbols to earn a win and nine or more symbols to earn the max payout.
According to Playson…
When a win combination is seen on the board, the symbols matched will be removed. New symbols will drop down in place and new winning combinations can be formed. As you earn wins, Crystal Bonuses are gathered. When wins occur, the game will begin to collect crystalized symbols. Gather enough of these symbols and you earn a different bonus.
Six Levels of Bonuses:
Crystal Crush offers not one but six levels of bonus options. Each level will provide a multiplier on future wins during the same round or will add a random wild to the game. Take for example the sixth level. During this round, the symbol of a specific color will turn wild.
As of the past few months, Playson has been quiet when it comes to new releases. The last time we covered a new release was with the game, Claws vs. Paws. The furry slot game was launched back in March of 201, offering a modern take on the classic storyline involving banks and robbers, but this time featuring cats and dogs.
