Having decided in March this year to replace Per Eriksson as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Board of Directors for online gambling technology provider NetEnt (NETB:Stockholm) has appointed, effective May 22, 2018, Therese Hillman as the firm’s new Group CEO.
Hillman has reportedly served as the interim CEO for NetEnt since the March 2018 release of Eriksson who held the lead position since 2012, and before that she was Chief Financial Officer from January 2017. NetEnt informs that prior to joining the Stockholm-listed company, Hillman worked for a decade in the e-commerce industry and held the role of CEO at Gymgrossisten, a Qliro Group subsidiary. Hillman, who has a Masters in Accounting and Finance from the Stockholm School of Economics, has also been a member of the Board of Unibet.
Commenting on the appointment, Fredrik Erbing, Chairman of the Board for NetEnt, said, “Therese has a clear business focus and is an appreciated leader with great energy.
