Both have signed a multi-year deal that’ll be wide ranging, set to expand and enhance the distribution of the real time gaming statistics of MLB games.
Starting with 2019 Season:
The new deal will start with this 2019 season, surrounding media and gaming rights on a national and global level. The MLB will be moving into a brand new age as Sportradar will have exclusive distribution rights for the real-time gambling statistics of the MLB, with data collected from every ballpark.
The data is collected via the MLB proprietary technology and stat operators. The data will then be transmitted to regulated operators of sports gambling in addition to media companies. Sportradar will have exclusive rights to permit the company to distribute game feeds into gambling operators located outside the USA in locations where sports betting is legal.

Sportradar, a recognized industry leader in data distribution, is perfectly positioned to assist MLB provide an outstanding Official MLB betting feed. We’re enthusiastic about the opportunities that this partnership will unlock as the sport betting landscape continues to unfold in the U.S.”
Sportradar is excited to partner with the MLB, getting their official global data partner. Sportradar Chief Executive Officer Carsten Koerl commented on the partnership, saying that the company is excited to be working together with the MLB. Sportradar looks at the venture as a huge prospect.
The new venture will open new doors for the lovers of Major League Baseball and Sportradar looks forward to using their global experience to give fans in addition to partners a quality experience.
Additional Partnerships:
The partnership with Sportradar Isn’t the first for the MLB. In November of this past year, the sport league announced a deal with MGM Resorts International. The deal will see MGM function as official amusement partner of the MLB. They will be able to advertise their brands and gambling choices via MLB broadcasts and electronic platforms.
