In Macau, Asian casino giant, Galaxy Entertainment Group Limited, has reportedly announced that it has spent approximately $37.3 million in order to bring the new JinMen8 in-house VIP gaming lounge to the 50th floor of its Galaxy Macau property.
Development to premiere from Saturday:
According to a report from GGRAsia, the innovative development is the latest incarnation of the Hong Kong-based operator’s JinMen brand and is scheduled to debut inside the 2,200-room integrated casino resort from Saturday offering a selection of 18 gaming tables spread across a single open floor.
Designed for ‘direct premium’ players:
Galaxy Entertainment Group Limited declared that the new lounge has been designed to appeal to its ‘direct premium’ clientele, which are offered credit directly without the involvement of a junket operator, and also features five private salons each offering up to two exclusive gaming tables.
The source reported that bringing JinMen8 to the Cotai Strip resort took three years to realize but that the lounge will soon offer high-value players the chance to enjoy live-dealer baccarat games with stakes ranging from $186,400 up to a maximum of around $384,100.
Latest JinMen-branded venue:
Benedict Wan, International Premium and Mass-Market Development Senior-Vice President for Galaxy Entertainment Group Limited, reportedly stated that his firm has 14 JinMen-branded salons spread across Macau but that it has no immediate plans to bring any further such offerings to the Galaxy Macau.

“For this year, JinMen8 is the only expansion for the direct premium business. As JinMen always has a lot of VIPs from all around the world, we welcome both in-cash and in-credit. We have a lot of regional players. They are from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand and other Southeast Asian places. Even sometimes we have players from the United States or South Africa. But, of course, I can say that greater China is our major client source.”
Operator remains ‘positive’:
Wan reportedly told GGRA Asia that JinMen8 will feature a ‘tailor-made’ butler service with food from Galaxy Macau’s Lai Heen and Fook Lam Moon restaurants and that he is ‘positive’ about the lounge’s future prospects despite seasonal setbacks such as the recent Typhoon Mangkhut.
