American casino operator, MGM Resorts International, has announced that its Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa walked off in the International Gaming Awards on Monday with the prestigious Real Estate of the Year accolade.
G2E recognition:
The Las Vegas-based casino giant utilized an official Tuesday press launch to describe that the fifth-annual international Gaming Awards were held as part of this year’s continuing Global Gaming Expo (G2E) and included twelve prizes covering a broad swath of the American gaming market.
Venue marking its 15th birthday:
MGM Resorts International stated that the honor was a perfect way for its New Jersey hotel casino to mark its 15th birthday and recognized the venue’s continued efforts to ‘raise the bar in Atlantic City years following its momentous introduction. ’ The operator announced that Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa made history in June by becoming the first venue in town to offer legalized sportsbetting while the summer had seen it attribute ‘the greatest names in entertainment’ alongside a range of ‘exclusive culinary adventures and unique casino promotions and special occasions.
Accolade is a ‘impressive accomplishment ’:
Jim Murren, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for MGM Resorts International, described the award as a ‘impressive accomplishment ’ that was a testament to the venue’s ‘world-class offerings’ and showcased his firm’s ‘direction in markets throughout the United States and around the world.

Something for everybody:
MGM detailed that the 2,000-room Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa is located in Atlantic City’s Marina District and features a 161,000 sq ft casino offering a selection of 3,026 slots alongside some 184 gaming tables. It clarified that the venue has five restaurants, eleven retail boutiques and four clubs alongside a 54,000 sq ft spa.
Recognition is ‘welcome validation’:
For his part, Marcus Glover, President and Chief Operating Officer for Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa, known as the International Gaming Awards trophy a ‘welcome validation of the hard labour ’ place in by each member of his group which was an ideal method to ‘celebrate 15 decades of leadership and innovation in Atlantic City. ’
