Blackjack

Blackjack is a cool game to play. I mean of all card games this one is interesting, simple and easy to play. The other awesome bit about this game is that it gets better with time just like fine wine. The game has evolved slowly but surely over the centuries to become one of the eye candy games for gamers. The dope thing about Blackjack is the fact that it can be played by up to seven people in one single game, but not directly with each other. This is because each player goes up against the dealer directly.

Unraveling the history of Blackjack is like searching for a needle in a haystack, it will take forever. But here is a little bit of what is known. In the 18th century this awesome game was played in French Casinos, back then it was known as Vingt-et-Un, which means or translates to ‘twenty one’. For those who are not quite familiar with the game here is the chance to learn a little. The intriguing part about this game is that its main objective is for you to get close to 21 points without going over. This has to be done before the dealers get even closer to the 21 points ahead of you and if you get over 21 the game ends. However this is but one theory. The other theory is from Spain where you would have to reach a score of 31, or by the Romans. The romans played Blackjack with wooden blocks which had varying numerical value.

Now that we are done with what seemed to be the historical background, let’s move on to more interesting things. Most people think that Blackjack is a game of luck, well that is true but not entirely because it is also a game of strategy. So with some stroke of luck and a good strategy you are on your way to making big bucks.
