The Most Recent Survey from the New Jersey-based Fairleigh Dickinson University has been released, Showing:
* Half of Americans favour legalising sports betting across the United States, mainly because they encourage the additional tax revenue it could attract for countries, and argue that it is taking place anyhow;
* Five states already have legislation in place easing sports betting and 14 others are mulling similar steps;
* By a Vast Majority of two to one, respondents were against states sharing sports betting earnings through the national sports leagues’ proposed “ethics fee”;
* Around a third of respondents were opposed to any expansion of sports betting in the country, fearing problem gaming, sports ethics and organised crime problems;
* 10 percent of respondents were neutral andldquo;didn’t understand“ when they supported the broader liberalisation of sports betting.
