Since early This week, Casino Barcelona has played host to the PokerStars European Poker Tour. The Barcelona stop was a success, with several events already finishing up, including Michael Soyza winning the €10,300 High heeled tournament. Now, another high roller tournament has ended up, now with a higher buy and at stake!
Super High Roller:
The €100,000 Super High Roller kicked off this week, using top poker players all vying for the very first place finish, using their very best strategies in the hopes of being the last one standing. In the long run, it had been Ahadpur Khangah and Mikita Badziakouski facing in the heads-up round. Mikita would get the final chip direct and extract Khangah, making the first-place finish, one of the greatest cashes of his career at just over €1.6 million.
On the final day of the event, only nine players could go back to the felt, with seven making a prize. The day could be unsatisfactory for Cary Katz as he had been the first to go, followed closely by Byron Kaverman. This left seven at the dining table, all set to make a pay day.
It wouldn’t take long for players to start to get eliminated, together with five falling rather fast before Mikita and Khangah would confront in the final round. Khangah would hold the chip lead in this round, but Mikita would be back in front and also the final hand goes down.
At the final hand, Khangah would limp in from the button with Mikita assessing his option. The flop revealed K-Q-9 using Mikita check-calling 300,000 to observe a two on the turn. Khangah would bet another 700,000 and telephone an all-around later Mikita decided to go for this.
Khangah revealed K-5 for a top set while Mikita revealed K-2 for 2 group. The 7 of hearts on the river saw not modifications, so Khangah would be out in second, giving Mikita the huge win!
