The four stand-alone casinos of Ohio have observed a great uptick in revenues for the month of August, as the Ohio Casino Control Commission has released the latest earnings reports. For the month, revenues statewide came at a $70.3 million which is a 5.4% increase from the $66.7 million earned the exact same month this past year.
Personal Casino Breakdown:
The biggest monthly increase was observed in the Jack Cincinnati Casino, which was up near 15% compared to August 2017. This casino has been owned by Jack Entertainment LLC and earned $17.7 million last month, more than the $15.4 million earned the exact same month this past year.
Jack Entertainment also owns the Jack Cleveland Casino, a venue that earned $17.5 million last month, an increase of 4 percent month over month. The Hollywood properties of the state saw a marginally less growth, but an increase nonetheless. The Hollywood Casino Toledo grew up 3 percent to $16.7 million, making only slightly more than the $16.2 million of August 2017. The Hollywood Casino Columbus was up 1 percent from this past year, making $18.4 million for the month.

All gambling revenue figures are published by the state control commission, since they govern the table games and slots of their state. The figures published by the group focus on the gambling totals of casino, and don’t include revenues from food sales, drinks, merchandise or events.
2018 Looks Great:
The casinos look great for 2018, place to complete the year with an increase in annual revenues, in the event the monthly numbers continue at their current pace. At the Hollywood Casino Toledo, the venue has earned just over $136 million so far, which is just 2% more than the initial eight weeks of 2018. The Hollywood Casino Columbus is up much more at 2.8% for the year, having earned $152.7 million from January to August.
The Jack Cincinnati Casino is up just under 2% for the entire year, with $135.5 million in total earnings while the Jack Cleveland Casino has surprisingly earned the same $135.5, up 1.7% for the year.
