The six casinos operating in the state of Maryland had a successful June, with current revenue figures showing a general increase of 14.1percent for the month, with every gaming site raising earnings for its second month running.
In total, June led to $148.9 million in earnings, which is a lot higher than the June 2017 prices of $130 million. Figures from the Maryland Lottery and Gambling showed the MGM National Harbor Is Still the front runner, with an 18.3% rise from June 2017, with $59.3 million in earnings.
The next place position went to Live! Casino & Hotel, that saw a rise of 15.1%, with $48.1 million in earnings. The casino only recently debuted their new resort last month, which should have helped to observe a rise in visitors to the property, which then would push gaming profits. While the top two casinos observed a nice jump in earnings, they did not observe the largest increase for the month.
Smaller monthly gains were seen by the remaining three casinos of this country. The Rocky Gap Casino Resort rounds out the record with $4.7 million in earnings, an increase of 5.2%.
The state of Maryland has been see strong earnings by way of casino gaming. The earnings earned by the casinos help to contribute to the state’s Education Trust Fund as well as the horse racing business, General Fund and neighborhood impact grants.
