The first to go would be Jerry Robinson, making the 8th place finish and his next cashout of this 2019 USPO year old. Shortly afterwards, Rodger Johnson will be eliminated, after going all-in and losing out against Stephen Chidwick with Q-J against A-J.
After a couple more eliminations, it’d be Roberts and Koray Aldemir from the heads-up round. Aldemir would have the chip lead going into the final two but Roberts would double up with two pair. Finally, both would go all-in when Roberts held the lead and a flush on the river of the end hand would fasten her the triumph.
According to Poker Cntral…
Roberts commented on her gameplay in case and targets for the week end by stating: “I likely will play the $25k higher rollers, also I’ll play tomorrow based on how I feel. There are a number of amazing players in this and I don’t have any clue how to play the brief deck I don’t have any regrets that I could win the entire championship. I feel as I have the capability to play well against these men. I don’t always live up to it I always believe that I could do it and it actually works out. ”
The USPO takes place in the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The casino is home to the PokerGO Studio, where the U.S. Poker Open together with other major poker tournaments occur.
