Caesars Entertainment Corp focusing on global non-gaming expansion

Las Vegas-based Caesars Entertainment Corp (CZR:NASDAQ) is going all-in with a new plan to focus on a non-gaming expansion via popular vacation spots. On Monday, the company announced they are working to obtain hotel licensing and secure management agreements to bring four of their brands to popular United States vacation destinations as well as abroad. Caesars plans on bringing The Cromwell, Flamingo, Caesars Palace and The LINQ brands to areas that tourists frequent most.

The recent announcement by Caesars comes just a short time after the company announced they would be bringing the Caesars Palace brand to non-gaming international resorts in Mexico and Dubai. Over the past few years, Caesars has focused on creating a portfolio that extends beyond gaming and they now want to use the experience gained to focus on offering properties in non-gaming locations in the United States and internationally.

According to Las Vegas Review Journal, Caesars Entertainment hired a former executive of Hard Rock International in 2017, Marco Roca, to lead their new Global Developments department. The goal of hiring Roca was to focus on securing international deals.

President of Hospitality for Caesars, Bob Morse, stated that the department has members located in Europe and Hong Kong, with a lot of projects in the works. It would not be surprising to see even more new announcements made by the company as new deals are made in the future.
