Don’t expect to “walk-in” and get a space, or anything else for that matter, at the recently opened $1.6 billion hotel, The 13, situated on the Cotai-Coloane border; at least for now.

Acting on behalf of this Cotai property’s proprietor Hong Kong-listed, South Shore Holdings Ltd ( (577:Hong Kong), a spokesperson from a public relations company said on Friday that opulent hotel is open, but just for “private bookings.
Separate in the Friday launch, the company, via a “Voluntary Announcement” outdated Thursday, August 30, 2018, revealed that The 13 will open on Friday, August 31, 2018.

But, based on GGRAsia, it wasn’t feasible to make a room reservation at the Macau hotel either by telephone or its official website at Friday during the day. Nor was it feasible to book a table at the long-awaited hotel via both of these approaches.
It was also reportedly confirmed by the site and newsletter that neither members of the public nor walk in guests were allowed entry into the house on Friday.
The spokesperson for the owner stated …
“The 13 is open now in a sense that guests who have made a private booking can go in … including [to] restaurants and other amenities; no walk-in guests are allowed at the moment.
Email reservations only:
The spokesperson added that all reservations would have to be produced through email and told GGRAsia…
“Our operation model at the moment is ‘just for private booking.
In line with this information outlet, the spokesperson only said that information regarding when a room booking engine would be available on the hotel’s website or any time the hotel would welcome walk guests would be revealed at a later date.
In Thursday’s statement, South Shore Holdings Ltd explained that The 13’s first guests stayed at the property “over the weekend of 24 August. ” The company also said in the statement that the hotel offers approximately 200 bedrooms and duplex suites.
Necessary licensing:
The hotel received all the necessary licensing, including restaurant and health club operations, in mid-August in the Macao Government Tourism Office.
Casino surgeries at The 13 aren’t expected to commence until annually, according to reports.
