Scientific Games Corporation (NASDAQ: SGMS) announced Tuesday that Doug Albregts (pictured), former Chief Executive Officer and President of Sharp Electronics Corporation, will be joining the Las Vegas-based company as the EVP and Group CEO of the Gaming Division.
Fifty-year-old Albregts served as CEO and president of Sharp Electronics Corporation because October 13, 2016, in which he was reportedly tasked with directing the 6 billion Americas operating unit encompassing consumer products, display devices, home appliances, business/office products, energy storage and the management of upwards of 2,000 employees, according to the press release (pdf).
Additionally, Albregts served as the President and CEO of Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA) and also has held top-level management positions in which the attention was on the growth of multinational digital companies such as NEC, American Express and Samsung.
In his new job at Scientific Games Corporation, Albregts will allegedly oversee the organization’s product development and production, in addition to supply chain and sales of the company’s Gaming services, systems and products.
Effective June 4, 2018, Mike Marusic replaces Albregts as President and CEO of SIICA. Albregts replaces Derick Mooberry, who will reportedly remain at Scientific Games as EVP for Strategic Products.

Cottle also acknowledged Derik Mooberry for his support and said the company looks forward to continuing working together.
