Poker expected to be allowed in casinos in Japan

Japanese authorities reportedly think that the games which needs to be permitted in the forthcoming casinos must consist of games of chance, including slots, blackjack and roulette; games in which the odds of winning and losing are largely determined by chance.

Poker, on the other hand, is generally seen as a sport of skill, one in which the possibility   of cheating or manipulation of the sport in some way could happen. However, because of the prevalence of the game and lucrative nature   of championship play, they’re expected to begrudgingly let it, as stated by the news outlet.

Even though the game could be allowed, it would still be regulated greatly. According to Asia Gaming Brief, somehow, acquaintances seeing the IR casinos will not be able to play in the same poker table or in exactly the same location. Rules for poker is going to be made by the Casino Management Board, as soon as the board has been established, according to the news outlet.

The goal now is to find the laws passed by the House of Representatives before the June 20 deadline.
