Casino Barcelona is now playing host to the 2018 PokerStars European Poker Tour Barcelona, offering poker players a wide variety of championship action. The €10,300 High heeled event recently ended up, together with Michael Soyza earning the first place triumph after shooting down Kai Lehto in heads-up playwith.
High Roller Action:
The Barcelona triumph would not be easy to get Soyza, who was down to only 10 large blinds on Day 1. He fought and wrapped in to make the last table, only to find himself losing a significant chunk of his pile during the last moment. In the end, he was able to continue and make it into heads-up play to face off against Lehto.
Since the last two goes head to head, Lehto could make a huge pot to shorten the gap into some 1 to 2 drawback. But he would find no closer. Eventually, Lehto goes all-in pocket deuces only to be called by Soyza who held Ace-eight. Having an Ace on the flop, Soyza was at the lead, only to river a flush to deserve the hand and the championship triumph.
According to PokerNews…
Soyza now has plans to continue competing at the PokerStars European Poker Tour Barcelona by getting involved in the Main Event, the past €10,300 High heeled as well as a couple of side events. The EPT stop still has a few more events to finish, such as a Charity High Roller tournament.
