A total of 1,075 players registered to compete in the WPT Borgata Poker Open, together with Erkut Yilmaz ending up the event champion. Yilmaz would maintain the chip lead going into the final day and after beating TK Miles in the final round, would finally make the first-place finish.
Tough Contest:
Several big name players were in on the activity, including Ali Imsirovic. Ali has played extremely well in poker events over the last few weeks, having just finished a huge heater, earning the Poker Experts Purple Jacket and two large roller occasion wins. The pro was able to make it to the final day, but are the short pile, and unable to reach the final table.
Yilmaz would maintain the lead going into the final afternoon, together with Liam He and Oleg Shnaider tied together with him to the best spot in chips. Since Imsirovic held the short pile, he would be the first to proceed, eliminated by John Lakatosh. While players started to be eliminated, Yilmaz would begin to increase his chip pile, slowing taking a controlling lead.
Closing Table:
The final table would include only six players, with Yilmaz in the lead. A few players would soon be eliminated, and Miles would give Yilmaz a run for his money, taking the lead after a few four-handed pots. However, Yilmaz would return in the lead after taking a huge bud from Oleg Shnaider, sending Shnaider house and securing heads-up play against Miles.

Yilmaz would have a nice chip lead going into heads-up, holding 25 million to the 17 million of Miles’. After around 40 palms or so, Miles would take a slight chip lead but it wouldn’t last long. Yilmaz would finally earn the direct and the final hand would go do.
Yilmaz showed 6-3 of diamonds. The turn supplied a half and the river has been no help to Miles, sending the pro house in minute as Yilmaz got the title triumph.
