From the end of January, Tunica, Mississippi will likely be home to one less casino. Announced last week they were closing their Tunica Roadhouse Casino in light of saturation within the local gambling marketplace.
Hotel to Stay Open:
Even though the casino will no longer be in operation as of January 31st, the hotel that sits adjacent to the property will stay open. Around 150 workers will be affected from the closure. Caesars will still be operating a casino from the region using the Horseshoe Tunica.
For those workers who are losing their standing within the gaming site, Caesars has promised to provide assistance with job hunting options and training. The company will also be providing the workers with taste for places within other properties owned by Caesars including the Horseshoe Tunica.

Regional President of Caesars Entertainment’s Mid-South Division, Scott Barber, the next two months will see the Tunica Roadhouse Casino continue to function in Precisely the Same manner as it has in the past. Visitors can expect the exact same great gaming, entertainment, hotel accommodations and service that is always supplied by group members.
Barber commented further that Caesars will continue to be committed into the Tunica gaming marketplace, and hope that guests will see their brand new sports betting venue known as the Book and keep inside the Horseshoe Tunica’s newly renovated guest rooms.
Seven Casinos Remain:
When the Tunica Roadhouse Casino shuts down next year, it will leave only seven gaming places remaining in Tunica. The Roadhouse was the tiniest property in performance when contemplating floor area, according to data provided by the state gaming commission.
